Onetangi Road is a New Zealand Residential project with Registered Architect Vaughn McQuarrie.
The two storey timber framed house on Waiheke Island is situated on a hillside overlooking Onetangi Bay.
The house is part cut into the hill side with timber pole retaining walls retaining the hill to the rear and supporting the first floor deck.
The house is founded on timber piles on the cut platform and the sloping ground at the front.
The open plan ground floor, affording the beautiful view over the bay, required SED bracing design.
Picture windows and large openings for glass sliding doors required SED for the lintels and trimming studs.
The project is currently on site.
