Acute Intervention is a residential project with David Stanley Architects. Sharp angles combine to create visual interest and maximise light, but the many different angles, in particular of the roof that spans the rear and side extensions, made this project structurally highly complex.

The architects wanted to create a sense of openness between the internal living area and the garden. In order to render this possible, we specified two stainless steel columns, set back from the corners of the rear extension, that allow you to completely open up the floor to ceiling windows, retaining clean corners.

Acute Intervention is shortlisted for The Sunday Times British Home Awards for Transformation of the Year. Winners will be announced in September 2017.
