Every year, Blue goes on a weekend trip abroad to explore some of Europe’s most interesting cities. As a small company, these weekends away give us a chance to build a close team, whilst exploring the local architecture and design scene.

Porto  is a treasure trove of architectural patrimony, from Romanesque cathedrals to 20th century social housing and contemporary buildings like the arresting Vodafone headquarters by Barbosa & Guimarães. Plenty for our detail-obsessed engineers to explore! It’s always interesting to see how other countries approach design engineering and the team came back inspired and brimming with creative ideas.
